I wouldn’t have even gone to school for HVAC if it were as hard to get into classes back then, as it is now
Everything seemed so much simpler when I was a kid. I know that has only been about ten years ago, but things have changed so quickly. I remembered it being so much easier to go to college than it is now. My daughter was working for hours, just on the application. My wife and I spent several hours filling out the paperwork for the loans and grants. We weren’t even sure if the paperwork was filled out properly, when we were done. My daughter had all of her nails bit off and she was a nervous wreck until she received confirmation that they had accepted the paperwork. I’m not sure what we would have done without the computer and all the resources we had at hand. We didn’t have that when I went to college. The paperwork was two pages for the application and we had people to fill out paperwork for loans and grants. I ended up going to HVAC school to get my certification. I look at what the teachers are now getting paid, and I realize how much money they have put into their education, and I’m glad I chose HVAC over teaching. I wouldn’t have even gone to school for HVAC if it were as hard to get into classes back then, as it is now. I now know what my parents mean when they say life was simpler when they were kids. I know it was much simpler for me, even if it was just the ability to go to school for my HVAC certification.
