The weatherman said it would snow, but he didn’t mention the wind.

I had listened to the weather early in the afternoon, and I heard there was supposed to be snowfall that evening.

Snow didn’t entirely bother me, but I hated it when the wind blew. All of us had an ancient tree in the backyard, and whenever the wind blew, every one of us sad about it coming down. Snow seemed to insulate the home and every one of us didn’t notice a difference in how much the gas furnace ran. When I went to bed, I was distraught to wake up the next afternoon and see the fresh snow. I woke up in the middle of the evening, only to realize the gas furnace was running and it was getting colder in the house. I got up to check the thermostat, only to see that it was snowing in the house. That’s when I realized the wind was blowing and the tree had come down. It was now resting in the middle of my residing room. I ran back to my family room and woke up my spouse. All of us tried to get some tarps around the tree and the hole in the roof, but it wasn’t doing any good. At 2 in the afternoon, I was calling my insurance corporation. My insurance company had someone come along so they could close up the hole in the roof. My spouse and I spent the next couple mornings in a hotel room, until they could repair my house. There was no way I could stay in a home when the gas furnace was running, but I wasn’t getting any heat. I sad that if every one of us didn’t have the gas furnace running, my pipes would freeze and I would have more problems than I had with the hole in the roof.
