I own a small business right outside of town, and there are 10 people that work for me, and we work multiple nights a week with the corporation being closed on the weekends. We are just a small mom and pop business. We make custom leather outfits for people, and a lot of our sales come from the Internet, however I believe my employees should not have to work multiple days a week, or take time away from their families. I also believe that conditions should be pressing, because of the job they are doing! When we started this business, the first thing my wife and I did was put a fantastic Heating and A/C program into the building. We also installed an air purification program to keep the dust and dander that would come from the materials we use, from floating through the air. We knew that whenever you worked around material, there was the opening of breathing in the particles. Last week, something happened to our Heating and A/C system. When my wife and I walked into the building that day, it was very humid. The first thing we did was call the Heating and A/C supplier to see when they could come to repair the cooling system. We found out that he could not make it until that day. we started calling all the employees, however for those who had already headed to work and got to the building, we sent them right back home, but with pay. We informed all the people that if the air-conditioning was good the next day, they could gey another phone call.
