It’s always fun living in a big city because there are numerous amenities right at our doorstep. We don’t have to go far for shops or restaurants and stuff like that. Rarely do we drive cars since we can walk everywhere or take a taxi. But, my only issue with urban living is the lack of calmness. Life in such a big metropolitan can get quite crazy and at times I just want to escape. This is where my grandpa comes into the picture. We are pretty close and he owns a farm about 3 hours from where I live. This place is so near the city, yet so removed from all the hustle and best of all it’s peaceful. I love going there once or twice a month to visit my grandpa and unwind. He worked as a heating repair person for decades and is the reason why I chose to go to HVAC school. In the city, I work as an HVAC professional in a big Heating and AC corporation. So, when I go to the farm, we rarely lack things to talk about, especially in the vast HVAC industry. Grandpa loves tinkering with old heating and cooling units. So, anything I can get my hands on an old model, I bring it along for him to fix or modify. These units are always available to any person in need of a heating and cooling unit, but can’t afford the more expensive modern ones. Grandpa always says this is his way of giving back since working in the HVAC industry is the reason he has all he has in life.
