I do not mind having customers that want to talk to me while I work.
It’s actually area of the task when you are a repairman, then some people are just naturally the type of customers that want to talk plus some customers want to learn about their plan too. I never discourage someone from studying more about the Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C system. It’s one of the most complex systems within the house. Many of the repairs need to be done by a certified plus licensed company, but there are a lot of things that the average homeowner can do to make sure that the plan runs more efficiently. I went to a customer’s beach house a few weeks ago plus she wanted an quote for a ductless AC unit, then while I was there, I mentioned the fact that the heat pump was making a noise plus suggested it needed a modern belt. The lady agreed to have that repair completed. She talked to me the entire time. I almost suppose that she came up with a reason to get me to stay. I tried to complete the heat pump repair, but at one point I had to finally ask the lady to supply me a couple of minutes alone. I told her that I was having a hard time concentrating with such wonderful conversation, but the truth is that she was actually getting on my nerves. That was one of the only times that I can ever remember feeling aggravated with a client while in an Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C repair. Usually a client will supply me a minute or multiple, but this lady was on warp speed the whole time.
