A power outage while in a storm can be one of the worst things in the world to happen… Especially if it happens in the dead heat of the Summer when it is over 90 degrees out, then your central A/C program doesn’t work, & you’re left in the loft with no electric & covered in sweat like you are inside a big seasoned gas furnace! I only wish they would invent some kind of central heating & A/C program that would not need electric to run the thing… I would say a solar powered central Heating plus A/C program would be a wonderful idea, and however, solar power is not certainly safe in our opinion.
If there is not enough sun, your solar product will not work, there are a lot of hotels that have back up power sources while in power outages.
They always have their central Heating plus A/C systems no matter what. They need to have some kind of back up power sources for residential heating & A/Cs! Last Summer, all of us had a poor storm that knocked out everything for days, & I had to spend hundreds to stay at a hotel…all because of the central Heating plus A/C system! The invention of the central heating & A/C program is a good thing all around. However, I will tell you that they can also cause you major headaches & money in the end. Even window A/C units, it’s the same thing. If you have no power, you have no A/C! And I do not know about you, but I totally need our A/C program to survive in the Summer weeks of the year!
