We had to buy a new thermostat last year and it’s really been one of the greatest investments that we have ever made in our HVAC system.
Before we ended up having to replace the thermostat unit, we had this really old one that wasn’t doing a very good job.
We noticed that the temperature in the house wasn’t really staying all that constant, whether the heating was running or the air conditioning system. They were actually running a special at that time on all of their thermostats and the HVAC technician that we spoke with told us that he would recommend something called a smart thermostat unit. With a smart thermostat unit, you can program your heating and cooling system to learn your family’s schedule. This ends up saving you money on your heating and cooling bills in the long run. When he told us that, we decided that a smart thermostat was the right one for us. We had it installed, and ever since then, our HVAC system has been performing beautifully. The other thing that we have really been liking about the new smart thermostat is the fact that it gives us reminders whenever it needs new air filters or batteries installed.
