I have spent the last many winters wondering why the Heating, Ventilation and A/C oil furnace ran so often but, I was never truly sizzling and cozy in my home. I sort of wrote it off to the fact that I am from the South and will really never come to terms with northern winters. But, that all changed when an aged school friend came to visit. He really grew up in the north so, he was having a great laugh at my Winter discomfort. Both of us were resting up late sipping scotch the first night when he noticed the draft. I told him that was what I had been dealing with since I moved here. My friend just sort of stared at myself and others before exclaiming that this was not a normal area of the northern Winter experience. He further explained that I had a drastic breach in our homes ability to keep the chilly air out and the sizzling air in. The next day, both of us made the decision to go over to the local hardware store where he recommended that I purchase a temperature gun. This is an electronic equipment that reads and displays the temperature of a surface immediately. I truly wasn’t sure what wonderful this would do but, I trusted my friend and purchased it anyhow. After breakfast that night, both of us made the decision to go outside and started our hunt for the breach in my houses seal. I was simply stunned with the amount or air that was leaking out of my house. Both of us marked each locale where the Heating, Ventilation and A/C treated air was pouring out. Over the next month of weekends, I was able to seal all those spots.
