I have spent the last several winters wondering why the Heating plus A/C oil furnace ran so often but, I was never actually hot plus cozy in our home.
I sort of wrote it off to the fact that I am from the South plus will really never come to terms with northern winters.
But, that all changed when an old college neighbor came to visit. He really grew up in the north so, he was having a fantastic laugh at our Winter time discomfort. Both of us were kneeling up late sipping scotch the first night when he noticed the draft. I told him that was what I had been dealing with since I moved here. My neighbor just sort of stared at myself and others before exclaiming that this was not a normal part of the northern Winter time experience. He further explained that I had a dire breach in our homes ability to keep the cold air out plus the hot air in. The next day, all of us decided to go over to the local hardware store where he recommended that I purchase a temperature gun. This is an electronic machine that reads plus displays the temperature of a surface immediately. I actually wasn’t sure what fantastic this would do but, I trusted our neighbor plus purchased it anyhow. After supper that night, all of us decided to go outside plus started our hunt for the breach in our houses seal. I was simply stunned with the amount or air that was leaking out of our house. Both of us marked each locale where the Heating plus A/C treated air was pouring out. Over the next month of weekends, I was able to seal all those spots.
