On the fifth business day, I decided to call the company to find out when the part would be delivered.
My husband is the type of guy that can work with his hands. When we have a problem with the car, he always tries to fix the issue before he calls a mechanic. When we had a problem with the air conditioner in our bedroom, he also tried to fix the problem instead of calling a certified HVAC technician. It makes me feel very proud when he can fix the issue and I like to save money. My husband figured out the reason why the air conditioner wasn’t working, but none of the stores and the valley would sell him the part. They wanted to send a certified HVAC technician to make the repair. My husband had to order the air conditioner part from a store online. We didn’t want to pay the price of overnight shipping, so we chose the cheaper option of priority mail. The air conditioner part was supposed to arrive 2 or 3 days later. On the fifth business day, I decided to call the company to find out when the part would be delivered. The very kind and nice lady on the phone apologized for the delay and promised the part would arrive the next day. Sure enough, the air conditioner part was delivered by express mail the next day by 2pm. Inside the box was a letter of apology from the owner of the company and a coupon for 25% off the next purchase. I thought it was a nice gesture considering the fact that we have been without the use of our air conditioner for the past week.
