Taking our time picking out a new heater

Until just recently, our condo was outfitted with an aged gas furnace; The heating plan was inefficient and ineffective, and it was noisy, spread dust every time it started up and cost me a fortune to run.

The furnace struggled to keep up with the demands of the Wintertide weather and frequently quit, but although minor, the repairs started to add up! Rather than wait for the furnace to quit while I was in a blizzard, I decided to be proactive.

I learn purchaser reviews for all of the local Heating and Air Conditioning contractors. I looked for a contractor that is fully licensed, insured and factory authorized. I made sure the professionals are NATE- and EPA-certified and that the contractor maintains an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau. I chose an Heating and Air Conditioning business that offers free estimates and a 100% joy guarantee. I called them while I was in the late Spring to get started on the replacement project. I planned to take our time in considering bizarre makes and models of furnaces. I asked the contractor to explain the many features and provide a recommendation. I looked into the benefits of variable speed operation, zone control, stainless steel heat exchangers and WIFI linkivity. I even learn up on the bizarre warranties gave by the many manufacturers. It took me quite some time to finally choose the ideal furnace for our home. I selected a top-of-the-line model that is Energy Star qualified and achieves 98% AFUE rating. I ordered the furnace and scheduled a time of upgrade. There were delays with the arrival of the device and after that I needed to leave neighborhood due to work responsibilities. After that, every one of us got into a tied up season for the Heating and Air Conditioning contractor. I was upset that I was going to face another Wintertide with the aged furnace. The new furnace was finally installed just a few afternoons before the first snowfall.
