I decided to invite a bunch of family members over for Thanksgiving lunch this year.
Since last year every one of us all stayed at beach house plus didn’t gather in small indoor spaces, I wanted to give almost everyone a holiday lunch that they would remember years down the road. Even though I like cooking, I realize now that I started to bite off more than I could chew. It’s a single thing to roast a turkey, although I was also planning on making beef brisket for my family members that don’t love poultry. While I planned the lunch, my lady decorated the house plus did all of the grocery shopping. I was so focused on coming up with my menu plus cooking all of the food that I was overlooking basic beach house service. It was time to have the Heating and Air Conditioning serviceman service our gas furnace ahead of the Winter season, however every one of us got hit with an intense chilly front during the month of Thanksgiving. We were already using the gas furnace everyday leading up to the morning of the holiday. Unfortunately, every one of us only got halfway through lunch when the gas furnace abruptly stopped working. I could think the air inside getting colder by the minute. It was only 10 degrees outside, so I knew it wouldn’t be long before the air inside my house became too uncomfortably chilly for almost everyone to stay. By the time almost everyone finished eating, I could notice their discomfort. I announced that the gas furnace had failed plus almost everyone was welcome to stay longer if they didn’t mind the chilly house, otherwise I wouldn’t take offense if they simply wanted to leave.
